Stacked, saddle-stitched booklets entitled „Theses – Bachelor’s Thesis, Master’s Thesis" featuring a QR code and the Wenzel logo

Wire stitching

The classic solution for compact brochures. The pages are stapled along the spine, resulting in a slim printed product that is well suited to company information, product presentations, events or marketing materials.

Typical of: Information, product and event leaflets

Paperback – adhesive binding

With PUR softcover adhesive binding, a flexible cover encloses the inner pages and, together with the spine, forms a single, seamless unit. It is suitable for brochures intended to convey a book-like, high-quality impression.

Typical of: Corporate, image and presentation brochures

Stacked brochures with ring binding in white and black

Wire-O / Spiral binding

With Wire-O binding, the pages are held together by a wire spiral. This makes it particularly suitable for content that is frequently opened and used, such as training materials, presentation documents or work documents.

Typical of: Training courses, presentations, reference works

Two hardback photo books with lay-flat pages and custom cover designs, produced by Wenzel Printers

Hardback books

A hardback binding is ideal for particularly prestigious printed products. It gives extensive or lavishly presented content a book-like quality and is also suitable for photo-book-style presentations.

Typical of: High-quality presentations, case studies, photo books, and prestigious corporate media

Stacked brochures with PUR adhesive binding, including a doctoral thesis with a blue spine

Adhesive binding – hot melt adhesive

In hot-melt adhesive binding, the individual pages are firmly bonded together along the spine and to the cover. This creates a sturdy, neat binding with a smooth spine, which is particularly suitable for presentations and reports, as well as for in-house brochures.

Typical of: Product catalogues, annual reports and comprehensive company brochures

Spiral-bound photo calendar featuring a leaf motif and the Wenzel logo on the cover

Calendar binding

Calendar binding is designed for content that is easy to turn the pages of and is used regularly. It is suitable, for example, for calendars, planners, overviews or presentation materials structured in a similar way.

Typical of: Calendars, planners, overviews

Choose the right format, paper and finish

It is not just the design that determines the outcome of a brochure. The format, paper, cover, binding and finishing all play a part in determining how it looks, feels and can be used.

DIN A4, DIN A5 or a custom size?

DIN A4 offers plenty of space for images, tables and detailed content. DIN A5 is more compact and is particularly easy to distribute or carry around. If your design concept requires a different format, WENZEL can also produce custom sizes.

The right paper for your brochure

Paper affects the appearance of colours, the feel, the weight and the overall impression. A different type of paper may be more suitable for visually striking corporate or product brochures than for extensive information or training materials.

Nor do the cover and the inside pages necessarily have to be identical. The key factor is what suits the purpose, design and desired impact of your brochure.

WENZEL offers a wide range of paper grades, from 80 to 300 g/m², to ensure that your printed brochures meet your exact requirements. Our dedicated team is on hand to advise you on choosing the right paper, whether in person at our premises, by telephone or by email.

Further processing for the finishing touches

Depending on the project, your brochure can also undergo further processing. WENZEL offers, for example, cutting, creasing, perforating, punching, folding, laminating, as well as various binding options and other finishing services.

The result is not simply a standard product, but a brochure tailored to your specific requirements.

Brochures in small print runs or larger quantities

Do you need a single leaflet, a small print run for an event, or a larger quantity for sales, trade fairs or communications? WENZEL produces materials using a range of printing processes, tailored to the specific project and print run.

WENZEL uses both digital and offset printing, reserving digital printing primarily for smaller print runs and offset printing for larger quantities.

For you, this means that it is not the printing process that comes first, but your requirements. We tailor the production, format, paper and finishing to these requirements.

FAQ – Having brochures printed

You can have your brochure printed directly by WENZEL in Munich. WENZEL has three branches in Munich and, in addition to printing and binding, offers personalised advice, graphic design and layout services, a collection service and its own courier service for Munich and the surrounding area.

The price depends, amongst other things, on the print run, format, number of pages, paper, colour scheme, binding and finishing. It is therefore not possible to quote a flat rate without knowing the specific details. Please contact us for a Price enquiry, so that we can work out the cost of the appropriate version.

The turnaround time depends on the print run, binding, finishing and the desired delivery method. WENZEL can accommodate express orders, which should be arranged in advance. For Munich, our in-house courier can deliver on the same day, provided the data is supplied on time and the quantity is feasible.

At WENZEL, depending on the product, options include saddle-stitching, spiral/Wire-O binding, adhesive binding, softcover and hardcover. In addition, calendar binding is planned for the new range of brochures.

Which option is best depends primarily on the size, intended use and desired appearance.

Digital and offset printing are the main options for brochures. WENZEL uses digital printing for flexible, smaller print runs and offers offset printing for larger quantities. Which option is best depends on the specific job.

Please clarify the format, number of pages, binding, paper, print run and any required finishing as early as possible. These decisions affect not only the appearance but also the handling and production method of the brochure. If you are unsure, WENZEL can assist you with your choice.

At WENZEL, even very small print runs are possible; brochures can be produced from as little as one copy, based on the product specifications you provide. For larger quantities, production is scaled accordingly to meet the order requirements.

Yes – or, to be precise, at WENZEL, the stated production volume starts as early as 1 item. This also makes it possible to produce one-off items and small batches.

The right choice of paper depends on the intended use. Visually striking corporate or product brochures have different requirements in terms of texture and colour reproduction than comprehensive information leaflets. WENZEL offers a range of papers and can also advise on the best combination of inner pages and cover.

It is best to provide a print-ready PDF file and to check the format, page order and content before uploading. If you are unsure about the design or print data, WENZEL can carry out a data check or provide a graphics and layout service. The existing Customer upload is already earmarked for new and existing orders.

DIN A4 and DIN A5 are among the most common brochure formats. However, depending on the design and intended use, other sizes may also be appropriate. WENZEL specifically offers custom formats as well.
