Large-format photo printing on PVC offers the perfect combination of durability, versatility and brilliant print quality. Whether it’s lightweight Smart PVC for flexible applications, classic Forex® for tried-and-tested all-round use, or particularly robust hard PVC for the most demanding requirements – the right material solution is available for every project. PVC Forex – your photo in XXL
A lightweight material that really makes an impression
We print on PVC using our 6-colour system, ensuring a razor-sharp finish and colours that capture even the finest shades. PVC is a very lightweight material that is nevertheless resistant to bending. You can choose from a range of thicknesses – the standard is 5 mm.
PVC: flame-retardant
PVC offers the highest level of safety, as it is B1-certified and therefore flame-retardant. It is printed using UV-resistant inks. Despite its light weight, PVC is also suitable for outdoor use, as the surface is water-repellent and the material is durable.
Protective film (optional)
To be on the safe side, a protective film can be applied to the front to prevent external mechanical damage such as scratches. PVC can also be used to display your own snapshots on the wall. However, as the format is freely selectable, it is also suitable for use as an information sign, directional sign, etc. For wall mounting, we offer five different spacers or a rail (either running all the way round or just along the top, depending on the format). If required, you can use our Assembly service book someone to install the hob for you.
PVC-Forex also stands out because it is relatively lightweight, even in large formats. So, when dealing with challenging wall conditions, WENZEL offers you a great solution with this „featherweight“ product.

Smart PVC
The lightest of the panels
Smart-PVC is a very lightweight, white plastic sheet that can be used in a wide range of applications. It is ideal, for example, for decorative displays in shop windows, business premises, etc. However, this material is also becoming increasingly popular for domestic use. Reason: its low weight makes installation easy; even for larger sheets, thin threads are entirely sufficient to hold them in place. Of course, you can also order the rear mounting rail, which, due to the low weight, often consists of a single cross-rail at the top.
Lightweight yet weatherproof
However, outdoor signage can also be produced using Smart PVC. The material is weather-resistant, and our inks are UV-resistant. The material is also ideal for use in displays, both indoors and outdoors.

Rigid PVC
The rigid PVC variant differs from „standard“ PVC in that it has a higher material density. This makes rigid PVC impact-resistant, shatterproof and highly durable. Nevertheless, it remains elastic and therefore flexible enough for all kinds of applications. In some cases, rigid PVC is also suitable for photo printing, for example when displayed outdoors. The material not only withstands impacts, but is also impervious to wind and weather. The surface is glossy, and the print is UV-resistant, ensuring it retains its brilliant lustre for a very long time.
It can be used both indoors and outdoors. Rigid PVC is only available in thicknesses of up to 5 mm, as thicker versions would be very difficult to transport due to their solid nature.
