FAQ on printing postcards in Munich: Sizes, paper & finishes
We print standard postcards in DIN A6, DIN long and A5, as well as smaller formats such as DIN A7 and A8. We can also produce custom sizes on request – ideal for special mailings, invitation cards or voucher cards.
For sturdy, high-quality postcards, we recommend art paper with a weight of between 200–350 g/m², or matt or gloss. We also offer offset, uncoated and recycled paper (FSC®). If you tell us what the card is for (mailing, insert, invitation), we’ll suggest the most suitable material.
Yes. We can finish your postcards in the following ways, amongst others:
- glossy film – bold colours and high contrast. This protects the card and enhances its visual appeal, particularly for marketing postcards and brand campaigns.
- Soft-touch film – velvety finish, very elegant
- matt, scratch-resistant film – durable enough for frequent use or shipping
Both are possible. Many customers use a striking image or photo on the front and text, a logo and contact details on the back. For Mailings or information cards Full-colour postcards (4/4) are popular on both sides, but for simple reminders, a single-colour reverse side is often sufficient.
It’s best if you send us a PDF in CMYK, with sufficient resolution (at least 300 dpi) and bleed (usually 2–3 mm all round). If you’re unsure, we’ll check your details before printing and give you some feedback.

In addition, Offset, uncoated and recycled paper (FSC®) as well as a selection of special materials – ideal if you’re looking for something more sustainable or with a particularly pleasant feel.
- Finishing touches for that extra touchWe can also protect and enhance your cards with foil lamination:

- Printing: single-sided or double-sided, colour or black and whiteDepending on the design and your budget, we can print your postcards on one or both sides, in full colour (4/4) or in black and white. This allows you, for example, to combine a striking design on the front with a clearly laid-out text area on the back.
